Mornington Peninsula Dog Training

Puppy Classes | Dog Training

We offer pet dog training for puppies, beginners and older dogs. A trained dog is a happy dog and a happy dog is a healthy dog!

Joining us here at the Mornington Dog Club not only means that you are making sure your dog gets the best out of life, but you can also enjoy the active social life and support of other people in the Mornington Peninsula area who love dogs too.

Mornington Peninsula Community Dog Club is a not-for-profit organisation serving the local Mornington community.  Our dedicated team of volunteer instructors have a range of experience and knowledge to help you communicate with your dog, using positive reward training and sensible management techniques. We try to adopt an atmosphere of stress-free training for both the dog and trainer with flexibility within our training plans, to cater for different levels of experience & breed types.

We actively encourage social interaction with our members through activity events and social gatherings, which include our ‘four legged friends’. You are welcome to attend our Sausage Sizzle every Saturday @ 9.45 am between the main dog training classes.

If you are considering joining, you are also most welcome to attend the club to view training and meet the training team prior to completing a formal application for membership to attend classes.

Through the correct training and socialisation, you and your pet are more likely to enjoy the experience of pet dog ownership and reap the many benefits it offers. We provide a range of dog training techniques to help you and your dog get the most out of your relationship. Our instructors demonstrate the dog training techniques and providing help and feedback during training to enable you to become your own dog’s trainer. We encourage the whole family to be involved with the training of your dog so that your pet will listen to and interact positively with all members of the family.

We recommend that all dogs start at the Beginner Level, even if you have already taken your dog through a puppy class. If you have completed more extensive training with your dog, please speak to us to enable us to assess your dog and determine which level you can start in.

You are welcome to complete the membership form in advance to save time on the day.  Just click on the button below, download, complete and bring it along on the day or complete our online form.
